Berman Museum of World History   •   6.3 miles

Featuring more than 8000 artifacts, Berman Museum of World History offers a unique opportunity to view ancient treasures and objects from all over the world. Included in the collection are hundreds of bronzes, paintings by European and American artists, historically significant artifacts, ethnographic material, art from Asia, weaponry, and historical documents.

Anniston Museum of Natural History   •   6.4 miles

You will be able to explore the wilds of Africa, the wonders of the North American wilderness, and the mysteries of 2,000 year old mummies in the seven fascinating exhibit halls of this museum. There are open air exhibits, one of the country's oldest bird exhibits and a children's discovery room. Talladega Superspeedway is the biggest, fastest, most competitive motorsports facility in the world. Records for both speed and competition have been established at Talladega. The track offers van tours to visitors daily during working hours except on weeks around events.

International Motor Sports Hall of Fame  •   16.9 miles

The average Hall of Fame & Museum tour can take between 1 and 3 hours depending on the amount of time you wish to spend with each attraction.  You may also want to spend some significant time in the McCaig-Wellborn Motorsports Research Library, a 1,700 square foot space with over 14,000 volumes of books, magazines and other research materials, of which several thousand publications are already in place.  It's the the most comprehensive collection of motorsports information on Earth.

Cheaha State Park   •   23.0 miles

Located in Clay and Cleburne Counties, Cheaha State Park is the pinnacle of natural beauty and awe in Alabama. The Talladega National Forest, Cheaha State Park's neighbor, has many interesting and exciting adventures readily accessible from the Park. Many visitors to Cheaha also enjoy hiking to one of several waterfalls near the Park, like, High Falls, Devil's Den and Cheaha Falls. Nestled at the foot of Cheaha Mountain you will find Lake Cheaha. Hand dug by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) this six-acre lake offers some of the best recreational bass and bluegill fishing in the immediate area.

Desoto Caverns  •   42.6 miles

This beautiful historic park is home to the nationally recognized onyx caverns which became the first officially recorded cave in the United States in 1796. It is located five miles east of Oxford on Highway 76. The park has many types of tours for visitors including the Explorer Overnight, Candlelight Tours and a 1/3 mile walking tour which features the Sound and Light Show in the Great Onyx Cathedral. That room is larger than a football field and higher than a 12 story building. The mammoth onyx formations are millions of years old and many are still growing.
