Scottsboro Alabama Attractions

Located in Jackson County in Northeast Alabama, Scottsboro is located on the Tennessee River’s great Lake Guntersville. Local highways and Interstates serving the Scottsboro area are Interstate 65 and U.S. Hwy. 72 making it easily accessible to many local attractions and fun things to do.

Scottsboro is home to the oldest trade day in the country, Payne's Soda Shop (since 1869), chartered caves, trails, festivals, and more! Scottsboro is also home to the Unclaimed Baggage Center. This center sells articles of unclaimed and undeliverable airline luggage and it is less than 4 miles from Key West Inn and Suites - Scottsboro.

The city offers visitors and locals a wonderful outdoor experience with its city and county parks. The Scottsboro City Park and the Jackson County Park offer plenty of places to take the family for a picnic or a day in the sun. There is no charge for entry. Both parks have picnic tables, boat launches, fishing docks and swimming docks as well as a walking trail.

Payne's Soda Shop, located on the Courthouse Square, has been in business since 1869. The small, yet elegant, shop shows off a 1950s-themed design, offering the classic malt, and it even sports rare photographs of Scottsboro's past.
